Radio talk show host Michael Savage, who described 99 percent of children with autism as brats, said Monday he was trying to “boldly awaken” parents to his view that many people are being wrongly diagnosed.

Absolutely disgusting. Obviously the man has no experience with autistic kids. Heck, I feel that ADD / ADHD was overdiagnosed, but that’s because many kids with that disorder had so few other symptoms that stood out. Autistics have verbal issues, some have seizures, many have digestive disorders, many repetitive flapping behaviors or other very very noticeable things that can make it quite obvious there’s a problem. I think the only way he could mix the two together is by not having a clue what autism really is.
